1. Do you have a question on how to prepare for your next SQL or Database Job
There are a number of ways you can learn programming or business analysis or any
other technical skill. I recommend both coaching and self study. I
am going to compare both modes of learning so you have a better idea of what
works for you and what doesn't.
Self Study or Teach Yourself
Self study is the type of learning where you are 100% responsible for the
outcome. It involves researching a concept, subject or topic through books,
online websites and other types of media. You set the learning goals by
yourself, draw up a lesson plan and then do your own reading and learning.
It is time for you to send me the toughest or most important questions on
your mind about your career.
You can ask questions about developing your skills, taking phone or technical
interviews, preparing your resume, finding a job, getting training, coaching or
mentoring, getting real-world, hands-on experience, getting ahead or getting
promotions at work, transitioning to a new career, dealing with difficult
relationships at work, beginning your career or advancing your career to a
senior or expert level.
1. You can ask questions about your business analyst career
2. You can ask questions about your data analyst career
I just got an email from one of my blog readers who wants to become a C++
programmer and works for a business that uses C++ to build web applications.
Here is an excerpt from the email (the name of the reader was removed to keep
the identity private).
… Still new to this but one of the guys from my group suggested C++
programing as a starting point. What do you think and whats the path to take
from the starting point to marketing myself as a programmer. I do various things
but just want to know how to ge myself out there to get at least 70,000. I have
some real lite help desk data center exp.
There is a high demand by IT managers for good, competent and skilled software
developers right now.A good number of software development job postings for
leading or cutting edge software development skills are taking longer and longer
1. The demand for experienced, skilled software developers in Java, C# .NET,
Visual Basic .NET, SQL Server, SharePoint and ASP.NET exceeds the supply of
available, skilled and competent computer programmers.
2. Software job postings are taking longer to fill. In some cases, they are not
getting filled at all. I have seen IT directors, IT managers and hiring managers
post "job wanted" advertisements for .NET programmers or C# programmers that
take months to fill.
1. Right now you can get a special 50% discount ($1,000), if you make a
one-time payment of $1,000.00
2. Right now you can also get a special $400 discount, if you prefer to make
4 monthly payments of $399.00

In college I tried to learn C/C++ by Dennis Richie and Brian Kernighan. It was a sterile experience because even though I could flip the pages of the book, I couldn’t make any sense out of it. What I really needed was a personal trainer or mentor who could work me through the book and show me how to build software applications using C/C++ because I learn better by doing than just reading.
I couldn’t get anyone’s attention not to talk of getting them to teach me how to develop software applications. Everyone I knew was busy writing programs and nobody wanted to stop and teach others what they knew.
In this post I will discuss why some people are affluent and successful in their careers while others seem to struggle with minimum wage or low paying jobs and despite their hard work, intelligence and personality can not earn enough money to pay their bills.
The reasons why people struggle with earning enough money to pay your bills and afford some of the nicer things of life include:
Lack of a Top Paying, In-demand, Marketable Skill
Lack of Focus and Inability to Follow a Proven Successful Plan
Hello, my name is Kingsley Tagbo. I am an IT Career Coach living in Saint Louis, Missouri, USA. I am in the business of changing the world one life at a time.
Through my blog on this website, my books and my online training courses for computer programmers and business analysts, I am making the world a better place by giving my customers the tools they need to succeed in their computer programming or business analysis careers.
I’m going to share something with you that will pretty much blow your mind away.
Now, here’s it is. Do you need to be competent at web or windows development before you can get a computer programming job? What is the absolute minimum number of technical skills or programming languages you need to learn to get a business analyst, data analyst or software development job? Do you need to master a number of technical or programming skills to begin your career in business analysis or software development? Absolutely not, I say!
Did you learn an information technology skill but can’t seem to find a job?
If you are looking for a job now or will be in the market for a new job soon, you’ve got to read the rest of what’s on this article.
Are You Getting Job Offers?
Marketers know to do market research before promoting a product or bringing it to the market. This is because the time and money that may be lost by investing in a product that no-one wants to buy can be saved by doing some inexpensive market research.
One life skill that strikes fear into the hearts of business analysts and computer programmers alike is sales and marketing skills.
Looking For A Job Is A Sales And Marketing Process
For too long, technical professionals have assumed that sales and marketing is something you need if you’re a sales rep for a pharmaceutical company, a used car salesperson, real estate agent, a marketing executive or someone else in a non-technical job.
This assumption is so seriously flawed ? nothing could be farther from the truth. Every time you look for a job, email your resume to a hiring manager, interview for a job or negotiate your salary or bill rate, you are performing sales and marketing tasks.
The business analyst career is one of the most misunderstood professions in the information technology or software development industry.
The majority of software development professionals who understand the network administrator, database administrator, web developer, computer programmer, IT manager or IT director’s role fail at understanding or appreciating the roles, responsibilities and career opportunities available to business analysts.
Announcing The Ultimate Guide to Careers and Jobs for Business Analysts
If the possibility of spending 4 or more years in college studying computer science is remote for you then breaking the degree barrier or knowing how to get a software developer job without a college degree will be helpful to you. So here is how to begin a computer programming career when college just isn’t an option.
While it may be easier to find a programming job with a college degree in computer science, a large percentage of computer programmers either don’t have a degree in computer science, or a college degree at all. The secret to success is to gain technical skills and real-world experience that makes you as good or even better than someone who only has a computer science degree.
Do you want to learn the C++ programming language or become a C/C++ computer programmer?
Have you ever asked this question? which programming language is the most complex and challenging?? and received the answer C++?
If you answered yes, you are not alone. About 13 years ago, I asked my mentors in computer programmingwhich programming language is the hardest, toughest, most difficult to learn? and I got the same reply as you… C++.
I asked the question because I wanted to become a successful computer programmer.
A contract programmer is a software developer who is paid an hourly rate for working on special software development projects for a period. Contract computer programmers are not paid salaries like full-time developers but hourly wages.
Contract programmers tend to be very project focused because they are hired to solve specific problems or code specific features and as soon as that is done, they have to move on to another project or find a new client.
.NET Developers (dot net computer software programmers) are in big demand with big pay in the major cities of the USA according to a 2006 survey at CNNMoney.com.
According to the survey, if you are willing to become an expert or highly skilled .NET software developer, you can command between $75,000 to $85,000 as an expert or highly skilled dot net (.NET) Microsoft software programmer and you can get an additional pay hike of 15% or more (which brings your pay to $86,000 to $98,000 and more) if you are willing to specialize in a field and then change jobs.
