How Do I Become An Information Technology (IT) Expert
I am a graduate of computer Science and now I am doing my probation in a Telecommunication company.

I am really interested in Programming, database and Networking but I am not sure of the steps I should take to be a professional expert in those fields.

Your help would be deeply appreciated.

I agree with this basic strategy:

“The pull method depends on you working on projects, activities and problems that are important to employers even though you may not have a job. You commit to solving problems specific to an industry or domain in a visible way!”

I’ve done that a lot in past, demonstrating my skills in UML-driven Java and XML engineering and technical domain analysis using UML and SysML, however there is a limit to how much essentially unpaid work one can do this way, it becomes an uphill education exercise. I do try to get more long term value out of such pitches by making the presentations reusable. Some examples:
