#healthcare #BA #businessanalyst Getting business analyst training and experience will enhance your healthcare subject matter expertise.

Your question is opposite to those who feel that they only want domain experience and they do not want or need business analysis training.

What makes you a business analyst is your core set of skills: Requirements Management, Reuirements Analysis, UML, Use Cases, Quality Assurance, etc.. Once you learn these skills, you may apply them to any domain of your choosing including healthcare.

Having Healthcare or any domain specific experience does not make you a business analyst ... it makes you a subject matter expert in that field.

Business Analysts sit at a higher level as in they can analyze or architect business solutions that may or may not be domain centric.

You may not have the opporunity to use all your core busines analysis skills for a specific domain but you are at least required to know them or to recognize when they are needed or useful.

So, I would say thay you are on the right track by working on formalizing your healthcare domain experience ... You may click here to download more information about the skills that you need to learn.

Good question!

#healthcare #BA #businessanalyst I started my career processing claims for one of the largest US insurance company for 15 months and after that I worked for different US providers(Hospitals, doctors) for 4 years.

So overall I have 5+ years of experience working for US healthcare Industry.

Now I got a job as Business analyst, healthcare domain.

My BIGGEST question is I have healthcare domain knowledge with out business analyst experience,

Can I prosper in my profile? what are the skills i need to gain to do so?

What are the key roles i would need to perform as the healthcare business analyst?

Appreciate if you could guide me.....
